The USCIS is providing special procedures, extensions and dispensations for Japanese nationals and other Pacific nationals that are stranded due to the March 11, 2011 Japan earthquake and Japan tsunami.
If you are travelling or visiting in the U.S. and have exceeded your stay, or are about to exceed your length of stay authorized by your visa – there are special instructions that you must follow, depending on your situation and circumstances.
Depending on your situation, you may be able to have your authorized stay extended for an additional 30 days.
